I lost my ipad in Vegas.

Sadly, I left my iPad in Vegas.

I never downloaded the find my iPad app for it. I know where I left it, but I do not know if honest people found it. I want to delete all my information from it, or at the very least make sure they can not access my cloud or the iTunes store.

Luckily, I had a passcode on it, and I also had it where you needed my iTunes code or fingerprints to buy anything.

Follow the instructions at the Related Article link to mark your iPad as lost.

Since your iPads’s passcode and touch ID were enabled, you really don’t have too much to “worry” about … other than the replacement cost and aggravation.

The Find My App has nothing to do with making a device trackable. A device is trackable by signing into iCloud on that device and enabling the Find My iCloud account setting. When you set up a new device, that setting should be turned ON by default.

The app, which is also installed by default with iPadOs and iOS, is merely used to track devices. It has nothing to do with making your device(s) trackable over the Find My network.

Have you tried just using a web browser on any device and sign into https://www.iCloud.com/find with your AppleID and see if it even shows up there?
