Step counter not working on iPhone 12 Pro max

The step counter in the health app is not showing new data. The last data is from 26 april. Does anyone know what I can do? Pedometer++ does work so I don't think it's a hardware issue.

Hello CuracaoDutchCarribean,

Welcome to Apple Support Communities!

We know it’s important to keep track of your steps. We can help and take a look into this further.

Let’s take a look at the Health app. Open this and select Summary on the bottom. Do you see your Steps listed there? If not, tap “Show All Health Data”. You will see the options for Steps there.

In the Steps menu, scroll down and tap Data Sources & Access. Verify the apps you’d like to use to record your steps is listed there.

To assist you further, please use these articles:

Have a great day.

Hi Chris,

Thank you for your reply. I have download the Pedometers apps on last Wednesday, but at the moment I opened the apps, there was already data in from 6/7 days ago (so it wasn’t recorded by these apps). Before 26 April I didn’t have any pedometer app, the steps were just updating in the Health app. Now I can’t see anything in the Health app.
