I’m unable to open attachments in Mail that are associated with a Gmail account. The paper clip appears, but there’s no document. Also, I can’t click the paper clip.
Attachments open fine on Gmail site.
Don’t want to download the Gmail app.
Load remote images doesn’t change anything.
Remove and re-add doesn’t either.
System is current.
Any ideas?

Same problem. Gmail attachments not seen on apple mail app. ( the attachments icon is present but not the attachments) Forwarding the message from apple mail app to e.g gmail account asks for including attachments (correct) and arrives correctly in gmail. All works fine from gmail app or gmail accessed via safari.
Try to remove the account, restart your device and add it again,
Attempted that before posting and it didn’t work. Remove, reboot, re-add.
