Yes, it’s called FireWire Target Disk Mode.

Thanks Den, I already read the Target Disk Mode. It just states "connect with fire wire" I had to search for a 9 pin male to 9 pin male. I noticed a lot were 9 pin to 6 pin. I wanted to make sure I had the right cable.
Den.Thed is correct, however if your goal is to use the display of one of the computers as second display for the other then nope that will not work.

Yes, both of those I Mac’s have FireWire 800 9-pin ports.
