Is Spotify responsible for MacBook Air 2020 Fan noise?

My daughter had also the often complained about fan noise issue on her MacBook Air 2020.

I solved this by cancelling in (also running) Spotify the option Menu => Spotify => “Hardware acceleration”.

Does this apply to other users as well?

Why does streaming music use so much battery? I have had my M1 MacBookPro 13" for just over 1 month and have had no problems with it. However, in the past few days, I realised that my Macbooks battery was draining quite quickly, and while researching I came across the 'Activity Monitor' and found out that it was Apple Music that was using so much battery. However, it wasn't that apple music working in the background as I had thought. Instead, I realised that streaming music (on apple music) would use so much energy, and it was that which was using most of my battery. How do I fix this? Or at least lower the impact? Annoying beep when playing songs in Music on Macbook Pro Not sure if it's related to me starting a trial of Apple Music, but now when I'm playing songs I get an annoying beep a few seconds after a new track starts playing. I've searched Music preferences, and notification settings for Music, but there doesn't seem to be any options relating to sound effects. Is there any way to disable this?
