My Apple Watch was given to me by someone else and I can’t seem to find their Apple ID

my Apple Watch was given to me by someone who didn’t disconnect it from their phone. I can’t pair it up with my phone without their Apple ID. But I can’t seem to find that Apple ID to pair it up. How can I connect the watch to my phone without an activation lock on it?

The person that you got this watch from needs to follow all the steps in this link;

Prepare the watch so that the new owner can use it.

If they can't or won't then recycle the watch and put it down to experience.
