There’s no available storage upgrade for an iPhone.
Your choices are to delete or to off-load (some of) the contents of the iPhone and free up sufficient space for your current needs, or a different or newer or new iPhone with storage that better meets your current and likely future needs. iPhone and iPad software and apps, and for many of us our own storage usage, are all likely to only increase over time, too.
iCloud storage can be an easy and useful place to off-load (some of) your current iPhone contents without deleting it, but it’s not a replacement for on-device storage. Various apps need local storage to work with and modify local files, for instance.
There’s no getting around the added effort of managing inadequate-for-your-current-needs iPhone storage, though some Apple iCloud services can make that a little easier for some sorts of data (photos, video, documents and files) you might have, if you have enough iCloud storage and your network is both fast enough and reliable enough.
