Laps vs length of pool swim x yards=confusion

  1. I set the “length of pool” to 20 yards.
  2. the watch adds a “lap” when I complete two lengths, or there and back again. This is the correct definition of a lap.
  3. this means one complete lap = 40 yards.
  4. but in calculating the total yardage, the watch is calculating a complete lap as 20 yards, or 1 length.
  5. for example, when I completed 30 “laps” is calculating the distance as 600 yards, or 20x30, not the full back and forth lap if 40 yards, which would have been 40x30=1,200 yards.
  6. wTF? Now I wonder how this impacts the other matrices—active and passive calories?
  7. is Another ole award of this bug?
