Smart Playlists not syncing across devices

I’ve noticed that the content of my smart playlists are not syncing across any of my devices. For example songs marked as loved or a playlist with most played songs will update on the device that the music is played on, but those changes will never move to the other devices (iPhone, MacBook, iMac, and iPad Pro). Standard playlists are not a problem. When a song is added on one device it is updated on the others.


Library sync is ON on all devices and all are using the same Apple ID. I’ve tried turning off library syncing and turning it on again. I’ve tried altering the rules. Of course I’ve tried giving it time, however after a week the changes still did not appear.


Strangely one Smart Playlist does update. The Recently Added playlist.


Any help would be fantastic.
