Forge 1.16.5 not working for Minecraft on M1 MacBook Air.

I have recently attempted to get into modded Minecraft in my spare time but found that the main way to instal mods into Minecraft is no longer compatible with the graphics of the new M1 chip.


Here is the error I get:



I did some research and gathered that neither Forge nor Minecraft can fix this issue on their own as it requires some support from Apple's end.


Minecraft won't do anything since they don't accommodate for modded versions to work properly and according to what people say online it might not be working due to Rossetta not being able to emulate it properly because of the different graphics.


Does anyone know if this issue has been brought up to Apple already? I know its not a major bug but it basically prevents M1 Mac users from playing modded Minecraft.


For now if anyone knows a workaround for this please let me know :)


When I ran Minecraft to get the screenshot and crash report I had no mods in my mods folder.
