Shutdown or sleep
Hey, I am a new Mac user.
I want to know, should I put my macbook to sleep or shut it down everyday.
Got mixed answers from the internet.
I am really confused about what to do !!

With newer models of Mac notebooks and newer versions of macOS,
these maintenance tasks are fully automated and no user intervention is required.
Wear and tear is a natural and a user need not worry about it.

I have been shutting down my Mac desktops and laptops
since my first Mac desktop, a MacPlus, and my first Apple
laptop, 17" PowerBook with PowerPC processor, and have never
had any issues.
It is up to the user actually.
I shut it down usually before installing updates or for troubleshooting purposes
and whenever I have to move it around a lot.
With lifting the lid for starting up the Mac functionality, it is lot easier.
Apple haven't posted any article regarding this.
What happens to the daily maintenance and the other stuff that takes place during the night if I shutdown it regularly.
And does keeping it on sleep mode cause wear and tear of hardware.
