You can leave the computer plugged in whenever convenient to do so. Neither your computer nor battery will be damaged by leaving it plugged in. An advantage of leaving it plugged in is that it reduces the rate of accumulation of battery cycles.

Yes this is the best to stay plugged into the mains unless you need the portability—then run on battery.

You battery will last longer in this way.


The battery health management software (BHM) can put on hold your charging this is the new normal.

It interpolates your usage pattern, and can hold it at 92% 84% 72% etc. however it deems best.

Click the battery icon in the upper right if you need 100% charge for portability
