I accidentally put a Logic Temp file in the trash bin (not knowing it was a part of my audio in Logic Pro X). I took it out of the trash and now my audio is gone for my recording. How do I get my audio back for my recording? Everything is still there and nothing is deleted but somehow messed up. I'd appreciate the help.
When reopening the project there is usually a prompt to locate missing files. Are you getting that message?
I probably can't help you recover the missing audio files. But isn't there a window asking you to cancel, locate or search the files?
However, it's more important to learn for the future.
Messing around with temp files is usually not required, and I never had to. You can avoid thinking about temp files by saving the project before you start recording or editing. Name and save your project to a proper location and you'll never ever have to look for temp files again.
