Removing unwanted audio device
How can I remove from Mac the audio device called "USB PnP audio device" which seems to be a windows device but appears as an output device on my MacBook Pro running Big Sur

Do you have a sound out device plugged into your MBPro?
It sounds like a USB Plug and Play device.
I don't see any USB sound out device unless I plug one in and when I disconnect it the option goes away.

Thank you Ivan for this suggestion. I discovered that if I disconnect my USB-C dongle (EUASOO) (which is not connected to any audio device) the USB device is taken off the output list.
So I guess I will have to live with this phantom device at least until I find until I find another dongle.
