Hi, I’m looking to buy an Apple Watch but I’m very confused if I need to get a SIM card? Or will it connect to my phones internet etc

The watch uses your phone's number to make calls and send texts.

You can activate the built in Esim if you buy the cellular version of the watch and you can make calls and send texts even if you don't have your phone with you.
