Left my iPhone 12 Charging overnight twice now by accident

The first time was with mag safe charger and it was overcharged by 2 hours and the second time was the usb c lightning charger, it was overcharged by 3 hours , both are from 20 watt adapter. I’m wondering if it did any damage to my iPhone or the battery. I checked the battery health and it’s still 100 percent.

You cannot overcharge any Apple battery powered device. They all have industry standard over-charge control built into the battery. The device controls its own charging and it simply stops charging when the battery is at capacity. Even the tiny little battery in an Apple Pencil has industry standard over-charge protection built in.

I have charged my iPhone XS overnight for years. It does not harm it. Also, you can not overcharge an iPhone.

Also, if you routinely charge it for an extended period of time in the same general location (e.g., your home or workplace), Optimized Battery Charging will improve its lifespan and insure the battery is fully charged when you unplug it. It is NOT possible to overcharge an iPhone. It's actually good practice to plug in to charge when you sleep and leave it plugged in till you get up in the morning. If you have Optimized Battery Charging turned on, it will help preserve battery health and you'll be ready for a full days use to be repeated again at night when you sleep.

I plug my iPhone in to charge when I go to bed and leave it plugged in all night long ever night, night after night.
