Can Apple’s retro A1048 keyboard be used on an iPad Pro? I am a big fan of the retro keyboards made by Apple and I was wondering if it’s USB could be put into an adapter with a USB-C end into the iPad. Would appreciate if anyone could help!

No it is the female receptor end needed for a standard USB cable to be plugged into.
That Apple USB-C to USB ( A ) adapter is what you'll need to use a standard USB keyboard on a USB-C equipped iPad.
If you purchase and use this adapter from Apple, it should be possible to use this Apple USB keyboard.
