Mac Pro mid 2010 upgrade to Mojave safely no issues?

Can I safely upgrade Mac Pro tower mid 2010 from high Sierra to Mojave without issues (eg speed and system reliability )

Yes, you can upgrade it by removing the 5870 and installing a Metal capable graphics card.


The easiest one to find, and reasonably priced is the EVGA GeForce GTX 680. It must look specifically like this one:

There are LOTS of GTX 680 boards available. Most are for Windows computers. This is the only model designed for the Mac Pro. I had one in a 2010.
