I noticed the ability to search within a playlist has been removed, is there any workaround in place?
The current search feature only searches within your entire library and it takes a long time to bring up results when I just want to find and play a specific song in my list. It also only shows music in the library so it doesn't let me begin playback from that specific songs position in the playlist.

No such option exists (iTunes 12.10.11.2)
In your iTunes, click on Help/Check for Updates:

You haven't tried my suggestions about the Search box, have you?
I'm already on Windows 10, what are you talking about? You're tripping.
View > Show Filter Field creates a new search bar that searches the way you want.
That's totally fine! I would've probably made the same assumption. I also did guess that there might be a few differences in the Mac version.
