We just purchased two Apple IPAD Generation 8 with WIFI and Cellular capability. Consumer Cellular said that they do not support this product. What are our options to gain cellular capability?

We just purchased to IPAD Generation 8 with WIFI and Cellular capability. My carrier stated that this IPAD is not compatible with IMEI. What are or economical options to maximize the use of the cellular capability of my IPAD without canceling my service for my cell phones?

In addition to using the Cellular capabilities of Cellular model iPad, there are two main ways to provide Cellular connection via a WiFi hotspot:

1) A mobile phone - that can provide a WiFi Hotspot. An iPhone is ideal, as the hotspot connection can be initiated directly from the iPad. Other brands of mobile phone will usually suffice, but the hotspot connection must be manually enabled each time that you wish to use it. It follows that the Cellular contract must allow connection via the WiFi hotspot (otherwise known as tethering).

2) A flexible alternative is to purchase a mobile broadband router - often known as MiFi - and an appropriate cellular airtime contract from your chosen Cellular provider.
