location

I am currently sharing my location with someone on Find my Iphone. If my phone is dead will my location read as "location not found" or will it say the amount of time since my phone died?

iPhone 8, iOS 14

Hi yuki04,

Thanks for reaching out using Apple Support Communities.

We understand you are wondering about expected behavior when your iPhone dies while sharing location with someone. Happy to help with this!

There are a few situations that may cause location to not be detected by Find My. This could a result be the device being powered off manually or due to low power. This can also occur if location services are toggled off in privacy settings. In any of these cases, when someone checks for your location, it will read "No location found" until the device is able to be detected again. Find My would not provide to the other person your last known location or the time you were last seen, it will simply show a blank map and "No location found".

Hope this information is found to be helpful! Take care for now.
