Mac Numbers: Prevent images from moving

I have inserted images in a Mac Numbers spreadsheet but they keep moving.

I tried the Lock/Unlock function but unsuccessful.

Help please.

Thank you

How did you "insert" an image? If you dragged it onto to the canvas of a sheet then it will move like any other object (table, chart, text box, etc) you have placed on the canvas.

If you dragged an image into the cell in a table then the image will move wherever that table moves.

In general Numbers is not designed to store and display a lot of images. It accommodates images to allow you to enhance the appearance of your documents.

Thank you for replying, SG.

Up until yesterday, I just used to copy and paste images in a cell. That made the image static and firmly placed in the middle. I wanted to be able to position an image to accommodate as much text as possible. Using the copy and paste method, I can only add text on the left of the image leaving the right side of the image inaccessible and therefore blank.

I discovered if I click on the "Media" icon on the toolbar, I can choose, paste, manipulate and position the image but discovered the image moving every time!

I shall have to continue using the copy and paste method for now.
