I want to buy a Macbook Air, and I want the option with 16gb of RAM. Do Apple stores carry every model of Mac, or just the base model? When ordering online, it said I could pick up the base model in store, but not the model with 16gb of RAM.
Could I walk into an Apple store and buy a Macbook Air with 16gb of RAM, or would I have to buy the base model if I wanted to shop in-store?

Authorized Apple retailers in the largest of metropolitan areas that
may order custom configurations for stock.
There are a few online specialty stores that will do the same.
If you are in the U.S. B&H Photo for one tends to stock custom
configurations since their customers need "beefier" configurations
for their work. As a matter of fact, they currently have 16GB
configurations in stock. If you search, I am sure you can find
a few others. I mention B&H as I have dealt with them in the
past and they have a good reputation for service.
