"Playback" plugin not playing AIFF file

I've loaded an AIFF file that works in the actual "Playback" plugin (e.g. when I hit the Play button on the plugin itself). But frustratingly, it will not play in the main Perform section. The little wave form window does not advance; no sound comes up; nothing. I am at my wit's end, as there doesn't seem to be any reason why this should be happening. Please help, thanks!

Audio track greyed out, won't play - related to compound clips? I'm editing together a virtual choir with 25 video clips on the screen at once all synced to a separate audio track. I've been working in compound clips to get the video clips in the grid that I need, but when I came back to looking at the program as a whole, the audio track is now greyed out and won't play. I can still see the sound waves so I know the sound is there and it's not muted. I've checked the index roles and dialogue is checked. Any ideas? I'm new to working with compound clips, so I'm wondering if I somehow did something wacky while I was in there...

auto-tune plug-in won't open One of my Audio Units (Auto-Tune) won't open. I see it in Plug-in Manager and it passes validation but it is not available when I try to insert it in a channel. I have uninstalled and reinstalled Auto-Tune. It opens on another DAW but not Logic all of a sudden. Any suggestions?

Some audio tracks can no longer be expanded. Hey, please have a quick look at the numbered pictures below. 🙂 Description: 1) Double-clicking the sound of the yellow clip expands the audio track in the timeline as usual. 2) The green line, on the other hand, is an FCPX sound effect that is only displayed as a waveform in the Inspector. In the timeline, even after double-clicking, only the green line is visible. 3) Double clicking the red clips audio track shows the waveform only in the Inspector. In the timeline I only get this red line. Question: I know FCPX only as in point 1. This project was not different at first. ... Why does the program suddenly behave as in points 2 & 3 and how can I influence this? ... I want to have my waveforms back in the timeline. 😃 Thank you for reading.

Nevermind...for some reason the "Playback" plugin was not set to "Group 1" like the rest of the track patches. This program is really, really unintuitive.
