Copying Problem in Mac

I’m trying to copy 22 GB file from Macbook to 32 GB Pen Drive. It’s showing “The item can’t be copied because it is too large for the volume’s format.”

please let me know the solution.

Item can not be copied because it is too large for the volume's format. I have macOS High Sierra 10.13.6. I need instructions on HOW to fix this problem, please. Thanks, Jim

How do you copy a file to a USB drive from mac? Last night i formatted my USB drive to ExFAT and tried copying a file to the pen drive and it worked. However, today i'm having the same issue. couldn't copy the same file. it shows the copying tab but it's not copying. Please help.

Hi,

Try to format the drive as APFS which can handle 22GB file.
