the phone number associated with my apple account is not my number

Locked out of apple account because I can't remember password. I went to apple to reset it and the number they have for my phone number is not my number?

If you forgot the Apple ID password, enter the Apple (iCloud) ID, and click Forgot Password. See if you can get a Rescue or Notification email option. Link to contact Apple Support at the end of the 2nd article.
