Removing of original payment method?

my nephew accidentally bought an app from the app store in which the payment method was my salary account debit card. I removed the card details and entered the details

of my other card in the off chance he makes

more

purchases without my consent or knowledge. Then i applied for a refund and i got an email from apple support that stated my money has been refunded to the original payment method. but I never got my money back. I checked the status of the refund and it said “Refunded”.

my question is, do i need to re-enter the debit card details of my salary account from which the purchase was made or will the Amount be refunded to the account without my re- entering its details.

After you request a refund you'll receive a status update by email within 48 hours. If your request is granted, the money is returned to the payment method you used. The time it takes for the money to appear on your account or statement depends on the payment method:

- Store credit (e.g., Apple ID balance): 48 hours

- Mobile phone billing (payment through your phone service carrier): Up to 60 days

- Other payment methods (e.g., credit/debit card): Up to 30 days for it to appear on a statement.

You can also sign into https://reportaproblem.apple.com to check if the status of your item is "Refunded".

If you need to contact Apple about this, click on this link --> https://support.apple.com/choose-country-region/media-services and choose a path that gets assistance from iTunes Store staff.

I have never been in your situation but I would think that if they are refunding the original payment method then they have that card information and will just reverse the path. It doesn't need to be attached to the account.
