It sounds like Now Playing isn’t showing on your Apple Watch when you play audio on your iPhone. We’d be glad to assist. 

To confirm, does this happen when you listen to audio from multiple apps on your iPhone or only when you listen to audio from a certain app?

If you open the Now Playing app manually on your Apple Watch, does it show what audio is playing on your iPhone?
