Apple Watch SE and Hearing Devices

I can't seem to connect my hearing devices to my new Apple Watch. My devices are connected to my iPhone, but with cellular service on the watch, I would like to be able to take calls and listen to music and downloads to the watch through my hearing aids.

I suppose my question is .... Is there a download I can use for the watch that will update it to the 21st Century, or is the watch simply limited in its technology that does not meet the needs of hearing impaired? Apple?

If hearing devices are incompatible, this should really have been widely known up front and I could have saved a lot of money. Disappointed and so embarrassed I have made this purchase. ...but other than this, the watch is so cool.
