I have the Macbook Air M1 trackpad. I have enabled the tap to click feature on the trackpad. But this feature doesn't seem to work around edges. Is this a issue with anyone-else and what is the solution?

You are correct. It does not work around the extreme edges. I have not experienced this issue because I never tap that far on the edge(s). Quite frankly, I did not know about this until I read your post and confirmed your claim.
The way that I use my M1 MacBook Air's trackpad, I do not feel that this is an issue and therefore am not seeking a solution.
