Unsilence a contact after deleting conversation on iPhone

I muted someone’s messages in my phone & I ended up deleting the conversation. Is there anyway I can unmute them?

Hello bryttney33,

Thanks for using the Apple Support Communities. We understand that you'd like to unmute notifications for a specific contact on your iPhone, however, you've deleted the message thread. Is that right? In this case, you'll actually need to wait for them to send you a new message so you can change your setting.

Once you get a new message from the, simply swipe left on the conversation and tap the "Bell" icon.

Best wishes.
