Muted, Deleted Conversation, Delete Contact

If I mute a conversation with someone on iMessage, delete the conversation, and then deleted the contact, will I still get messages from that now unknown number even though I muted and deleted their contact? Will the messages show up with the number without a contact name but just muted? Or because I muted them before I deleted the conversation and contact, will I not hear from them again?
