microsoft 32 bit not compatable

Does anyone have the problem that now Microsoft word, excel, and PowerPoint are now not compatible with the new update? I downloaded the updated version of these apps, but now it's asking me to purchase them again. Don't know what to do or how to prove that I purchased Microsoft Office back in the day when I first bought my computer. Any advice?

No 32 bit apps work with Catalina or Big Sur. Only 64 bit apps work. There is no upgrade path from Office 32 bit to 64 bit. You need to buy a 64 bit version of Office. So it does not matter whether you can prove that you bought the 32 bit version.
