mail on mac will not allow me to scroll to read entire message

We'd like to help get Mail working right with scrolling while reading emails. Let's start with better understanding what's happening, along with ruling out some basics:

1. Does this seem to occur with emails from a specific account, or all accounts set up in Mail?
2. If you go to the website of the affected emails(Yahoo, Gmail, iCloud, etc.), does the same issue occur?
3. You mentioned having macOS 10.15.7 installed, but if you check now, are there any updates showing ready to download? Here's how to first Back up your Mac with Time Machine, and afterwards, here's How to update the software on your Mac.
