I have traded in my older iMac for the newest iMac. I received an empty box with no instructions or return label or address to return the box. I would have thought instructions would come in the box to pack it and tell me where to ship it?
I called AppleCare and talked to a very nice representative who spent some time chasing down this problem. Finally she sent me an email with the instructions on how to pack the box. I haven't tried it yet but here is the link. It looks like it covers what it needs to. If I have any problems from this point on, I'll let this discussion group know about it.
In contrast to the iMac shipping which I originally posted, I just got a box to send in an iPad for credit and there were instructions included as well as a link to better online instructions. That said, the iPad still moved around so I taped it down in several places. The instructions did also say there was no need to include the charging items.
It’s seems odd that you received a shipping box w/o a label or instructions.
Perhaps they were e-mailed to you separately?

Thank you. No. Just the empty box…. With several inserts the only email was the email that informed me of the trade-in and how to prep the computer.

I’d give it a couple of days.
I could easily see the box coming from “Box Vendor A” …
… with the labels coming from “Shipping Vendor B.”
Same problem, no instructions
I also have received a box and don't have a clue how to pack my iMac into the box ... I did get mailing label however...
I read the instructions on the linked page and packing is still very confusing. A video would be very helpful.

I didn’t receive that type of packing box so that video doesn’t help.
If no box has arrive consider either contacting the vendor or taking the computer to your local Apple Store.
So proud for you rkaufman87. I actually found that same link in 3 seconds it it was not the same box or packing.
Well you don't state what country you are in there isn't much of a chance you will find the right instructions. Keep trying
