When I search a Podcast and click on it to download certain episodes, the screen goes black after I click “See all episodes” and returns me to my home screen. I have already restarted my device and it’s still happening. Thanks!

That sounds like a memory problem or, less so, a storage problem.
When you end up back at the Home Screen, check to see if the Podcasts app is still open in the background. If so, fully exit it.
Be sure to Follow the Show in which you are trying to See All episodes.
