restart MacBook Air - apps gone

so, I just restarted MacBook Air M1 and two apps I had downloaded and installed were gone:

5kplayer and evernote.

What must I do for such apps not to go?!

Another issue is Adobe Premiere.

Even after restarting, the icon in dock shows a dot under it, suggesting it is already open, but clicking the icon doesn't bring up the app. and double-clicking the app in Finder/Applications doesn't make anything happen either! And why is there even a dot under the icon after a restart?!

Make sure Apps have their installer run. Running the app directly from the disk image icon will not install the app. It must be either dragged into the applications folder, or have an installer run to put it in the applications folder.

The Dock is not a folder. It is a shortcut to wherever you started the application from.

Apple menu -> System Preferences -> Users and Groups -> select user -> select Login Items and see if Adobe Premier is there.

if not, don't save windows on shut down when asked. When you save windows on shut down or restart, it will relaunch the last opened application.
