iPad frozen attempting to update

My iPad Pro 12.9 pulled an error when trying to update to 14.6. Now, it said it would try later, but I have the spinning Verifying Update on my screen for several hours, and I can't do anything. I cant shut it down, or open it. Any ideas?

See this for a device that is frozen. If your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch won't turn on or is frozen - Apple Support
