Mail preference rule is failing to forward email

A couple of weeks ago I set up a rule in Mail preferences to forward email from a particular sender to my husband's email account. Though I've gotten at least half a dozen email from that sender none have been forwarded. I end up forwarding them manually and he gets those.

I have other rules that move mail to different mailboxes on my computer and those work fine.

I've double, triple, quadruple checked his email address is correct and that the sender email address is correct.

We both have Macs. I'm running OS 10.15.7

Can anybody help me figure this out? I'd love to have it work.

(PS Before I can post this Apple requires I choose a topic. Mail is not on the list. Thanks Apple. Because I couldn't come up with anything better from the list I picked Apple ID but it has nothing to do with my problem.)

Hey Eric, Your suggestions have been really helpful, but I realize now that I didn't give you all the necessary info, namely I have 2 computers, an iMac (used occasionally) and a MacBook Pro (used daily). I created the rule on the MBP. I just looked for it on the iMac. The rule is there but not checked "active". To test the situation I made my email address the condition for forwarding then sent a test to myself. It got forwarded to my husband. So the problem wasn't the address but the second computer. Yikes! I'll know better next time!

I just tried to duplicate what you did and I got my name in the to box, but it was followed by my email address enclosed in < >. No dropdown menu. Sent a test email and it forwarded the email as expected. Last suggestion - go to Contacts, then select his card, and remove the address you are trying to forward to from his card. Quit/reopen Mail and try setting up the rule again.

Yes, what you see in the screenshot is his name and a drop down arrow at the end of his name, which when clicked links to his email address.

I just typed his full email address into the "to" box (having removed the previous entry), clicked OK, closed preferences, opened them back up, clicked on edit for the rule and the "to" box is back to his full name with the drop down arrow at the end. No "...@me.com". (Though if I click on the drop down arrow the window that opens up has his correct email address.)
