iPhone repair support

Did anyone else ever have there phone damaged internally then you get it sent off for repairs to apple they say that it’s not covered by your warranty when it says all warranty lasts 1year after purchasing a product yet 2 months later my phones charge port breaks and they say they can’t repair it without payment. Apple is a joke and I’ll definitely not be purchasing another apple product if that’s how they treat there customers. I also took the phone into a service shop and they told me that the warranty can cover a charge port because it’s inside the phone but apple have said otherwise and tried money grabbing terrible company
