Notes Defaulting to Grey Color Font

I am running Big Sur, newest update and am not seeing anywhere in Notes preferences where I can change the default Grey to Black as I can barely see the notes. Yes, I know how to change it manually but what good is that when I start a new note and there is the Grey all over again. Sometimes it even manages to change itself back to Grey on its own.

This has been brought up in the past with no solution.

Hello Brandon7533,

Welcome to Apple Support Communities. It sounds like you're having trouble with Notes on your Mac. We are happy to share information that may help.

First, start up in safe mode. This helps to perform a basic check of your startup disk, deletes some system caches and more. Here's an article with more information and the proper steps to take: How to use safe mode on your Mac. Once you're in safe mode, please restart your Mac as normal and see if you continue to experience the same behavior.

You may also want to test this issue in another user account on your Mac: Set up users, guests, and groups on Mac.

Take care.
