Change/Remove iCloud email address under my Apple ID

My iCloud mail linked to MY Apple ID was set up with ***@ icloud.com & ***@ me.com.

I am unable to change or delete these email addresses that set up my iCloud mail.

I tried adding a different alias under icould mail settings... still would not let me delete the original ones.

I tried editing my "reach me at" alias under manage you Apple ID settings ... do "x" showed up next to the emails I want to remove. instead there is a (?) that says " this is an alias of your Apple ID email address"

please help me change this I'm in my late 20s/ almost 30 and don't want my father's name as my email address...

As per the article Use email aliases on iCloud.com - Apple Support

Turn off, turn on, or delete an alias

You can turn an email alias on or off at any time. You can also delete email aliases that you no longer want to use. While turning off an email alias is temporary, deleting it is permanent. When an alias is turned off or deleted, email sent to that alias is returned to the sender.

  1. In Mail on iCloud.com, click gear icon in the sidebar, then choose Preferences.
  2. If you don’t see the sidebar, see Show or hide the sidebar in Mail on iCloud.com.
  3. Click Accounts, select the alias in the Addresses list, then do any of the following:
    • Turn off an alias: Select “Disable alias.”
    • Turn on an alias: Deselect “Disable alias.”
    • Delete an alias: Click Delete.
  1. Click Done.

Note: You can’t delete or turn off a primary @icloud.com email address.
