Fraud call seems suspicious

Received call from “Apple”indicating security issues w my account. Was transferred to another person who wanted me to allow access for him to take over my phone to check things out. I balked at that and hung up. When I tried to reach Apple to see if this approach was legit, I was told my account was locked due to suspicious activity. McAffee found nothing. Not sure what’s going on. ??? This could be on any of my devices if legit. I’m limited to one device below. ???
