To share, your child will need the Apple Music Family plan, and you will need to configure Family Sharing.

Trying to share an Apple ID ends badly, as notifications and FaceTime and two-factor authentication and other services all consider systems associated with the same Apple ID to be the same person.
Purchases and subscriptions can not be transferred from one Apple ID to another, so anything associated with the outgoing Apple ID will be unavailable within the new, outside of what can be shared with Family Sharing, and only if both old and new IDs are associated with Family Sharing.
