When using AirPlay, if prompted for a Passcode, it will be displayed on your TV/Monitor.

When using AirPlay, if a Passcode is requested, will be displayed on the screen of your TV set.
The TV generates and displays the actual password needed at that time. You then enter it into the iPad.

The prompt for the password is on the tv. I have to provide the password. I don’t know where it is
