How do I take out the SIM card from an iPad mini 2? I’m setting up a new iPad.

You will require an SIM Tool (supplied with every Cellular model iPad and iPhone) - or an unfolded paperclip.
Identify the SIM Tray slot in one edge of the iPad; only if the iPad is Cellular model will you find a SIM tray. At one end of the tiny rectangular slot you will find a small hole. Insert the tip of the SIM tool, or paperclip, into the hole. Push firmly on the SIM Tool/paperclip, keeping your fingers away from the SIM tray; the tray will pop-out.
You may need to apply significant pressure to the tool. Be aware that any pressure on the tray itself may prevent the tray from being ejected from the iPad body.
