Gray app icon

Some of my app icons suddenly turned gray. I tried to reset my device but it still stayed the same.

Does anyone have the similar issue and how to fix it?

Hello Nhmy0907,

Thanks for choosing the Apple Support Communities. If we understand correctly, some of your apps are showing as blank.

To start, does it shows these apps the same way on the Home Screen? Also, if you remove and reinstall the app, does the icon return?

Delete apps on your iPhone, iPad, and iPod touch

Hi Leanne, thank you for answering.

These apps still have their normal icons on the home screen. It just went blank on notification center and when i text.

I can’t reinstall Message and Photos app, so do you have any other suggestions?
