I used the backup from iCloud when I got my new phone and none of my past information is on my new phone? Can you help me fix this

Enable iTems in iCloud:
Enable different iCloud settings on your iPhone, so that all restores...
On the iPhone:
- Go to: Settings
- Tap: Your Name (Top Item)
- Tap: iCloud
- Tap: Contacts (so that it is green in-color)
