Buzzing/humming sound through earphones when charging macbook pro via mains charger

Hi community...

I have a MacBook Pro with a buzzing/humming sound coming through my earphones when charging via mains cable/charger. When I disconnect/remove the charging cable or the touch the casing with my hand/finger the buzzing/humming disappears.

Guessing there's some form of grounding issue due to the noise disappearing when I touch and ground the case....

Anyone know if there's been any official recognition of the fault and if there are any fixes to remedy?

Thank you for using the Apple Support Communities. We understand you are hearing a buzzing/humming sound on your earphones when charging your MacBook Pro and we are happy to help! To help us isolate and resolve your problem make sure that the software on your MacBook Pro has been updated to the latest supported version macOS 11.4. If your MacBook Pro has not yet been updated to macOS 11.4 back up your MacBook Pro first before updating it.

If MacBook Pro is updated and you still hear the buzzing/humming sound and you use Bluetooth headphones, follow the steps in the Apple Support article If sound quality is reduced when using Bluetooth headphones with your Mac. If you do not use Bluetooth headphones, then reset the SMC of your Mac. “Resetting the system management controller (SMC) can resolve certain issues related to power, battery, fans, and other features.” See How to reset the SMC of your Mac
