MagSafe Duo charger yellow discoloration

Hello community,

I purchased a MagSafe Duo Charger in December 2020, as soon as it was available for sale. There is now a yellow discoloration all over it, only 4 months later. Now it is June 2021 and I was finally able to make an appointment for this to get inspected by someone at the Apple Store.

They looked at it and said

The warranty does not apply to cosmetic damage or to defects caused by normal wear and tear or otherwise due to the normal aging of the device. Cosmetic damage includes, but is not limited to, stains, discoloration, scratches, dents, wrinkled hinge, and broken plastic on ports.

I find this answer to be quite disheartening and unfortunate for lack of a better word.

This is a very expensive charger, only for it to turn yellow in a couple months, and claim this is "normal aging".

This seems to be a clear manufacture defect. I would expect there to be some sort of recall or exchange policy for this as I can't imagine this experience is inline with Apple.
